Deetlefs StoneCross Sauvignon Blanc ABV 13.5% 750 ml

Very light lemon yellow colour with green tinge. Complex array of tropical fruit notes with pronounced passion fruit, pineapple, kiwifruit. It also has very typical green notes of green peppers and freshly cut grass. Fruity entry dominated by tropical fruit and citrus, but with nice lingering taste of green pepper and minerality. The wine has linear grapefruit acidity with good weight on the middle palate.

The grapes are closely monitored and harvesting took place when the balance between tropical fruit, green aromas and acidity was achieved. Picking occurred before sunrise to ensure cool grapes. Modern techniques and reductive winemaking practices were used to enhance and protect the delicate varietal aromas. The Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon are made and aged separately and blending occurred one month prior to bottling.
